Lucas Pinheiro Braathen extends Atomic ski partnership to 2030
Atomic has confirmed a new agreement with Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, extending the alpine ski racer’s partnership with the Austrian equipment manufacturer through 2030.
The deal continues a relationship that began in 2019 and places equipment development at the centre of the partnership. Atomic says the athlete has been closely involved in shaping the race skis he uses at the highest level.
Olympic success and equipment development
Pinheiro Braathen made history by winning giant slalom gold for Brazil at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, becoming the first Winter Olympic medallist from South America. He followed that achievement with the FIS World Cup giant slalom crystal globe in the 2025/26 season.
Atomic says the Redster race ski he used for his Olympic success had been developed with his input and had first been tested on snow only weeks before the event.
Partnership continues towards 2030
The extension gives Atomic continuity with one of alpine skiing’s most prominent competitors. Athlete feedback remains an important part of race-equipment development, although products created for elite competition should not automatically be treated as equivalent to retail skis.
With the new World Cup season beginning in Sölden, the announcement is a notable equipment partnership for the winter sports industry.
