We Can’t Not – A Ski Film About Filming a Ski Film
British freeskier and filmmaker Paddy Graham takes viewers behind the scenes of his world in We Can’t Not, a new film about the making of a ski film.
Narrated by Sean Bean, the Legs of Steel and Red Bull Media House co-production follows Graham and fellow skiers Kye Petersen, Markus Eder, Tom Ritsch and Finn Bilous as they tackle the challenges of filming freeride skiing, including an ambitious expedition to Alaska.
Over two years, the project captures long waits for weather, helicopter logistics, equipment worries and the moments when a planned shot either falls apart or becomes something extraordinary. At its heart is Graham’s attempt to explain to his family why he keeps taking the risks involved in making ski films.
Directed by Adam Gendle, the film begins its premiere tour in October and is due to be available worldwide on 1 November 2026.
