Levi Ski Resort and Halti announce multi-year outdoor clothing partnership
Finnish outdoor apparel brand Halti and Levi Ski Resort have announced a multi-year partnership that will see Halti become the resort’s official clothing supplier, while Levi serves as a testing and reference centre for the brand.
The agreement covers approximately 300 employees working across slope operations and customer service. Staff work year-round in changing Arctic conditions, providing a demanding environment in which to assess the clothing’s protection, comfort and functionality.
Jouni Palosaari, CEO of Levi Ski Resort, said the resort had sought a partner with shared values and a commitment to quality, with the aim of developing clothing suited to the requirements of different staff roles.
For Halti, the partnership creates an opportunity to collect regular feedback from employees using its products in real-world northern conditions. The company will assess performance, fit and comfort in wind, moisture and changing temperatures.
“At Levi, the performance of our products is tested as part of the staff’s daily work, and their experiences provide us with valuable insights for product development,” said Aki Kuusilehto, CEO of Halti Oy.
The partnership will also extend to retail. Halti clothing will have an increased presence at the resort’s Zero Point Brand Store and South Point Levi Shop, alongside further initiatives highlighting Finnish outdoor expertise to visitors.
