NBC, U.S. Ski & Snowboard and FIS Expand World Cup Broadcast Coverage for 2026/27

U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced an expanded broadcast and streaming arrangement with NBC Sports and the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) for the 2026/27 season, designed to simplify access to World Cup and World Championship events for viewers in the United States.

Under the agreement, alpine World Cup and World Championship races will stream live and on demand on Peacock, with commentary, alongside selected coverage on NBC and NBCSN. Alpine races will also become available on YouTube 24 hours after broadcast.

Free World Cup coverage

A new Ski & Snowboard World Cup YouTube channel and free ad-supported television (FAST) channel will offer live English-language coverage of World Cup and World Championship events staged outside the United States across cross-country skiing, freeride, freeski, freestyle, nordic combined, ski jumping and snowboarding. The FAST channel is set to launch across multiple television platforms.

U.S.-hosted events across disciplines will stream on Peacock, while Outside TV will carry domestic event replays and highlights. The agreement follows centralisation of international media rights for the 2026/27 season.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard president and CEO Sophie Goldschmidt said: “For years, fans had to work harder than they should have to watch our athletes compete.” She said the revised distribution model would make it easier to follow athletes throughout the season.

Alpine champion Mikaela Shiffrin welcomed the increased availability of live and on-demand coverage, noting the challenge that European race times can present to American audiences.

The alpine World Cup season opens in Sölden, Austria, on 24 October 2026, with women’s giant slalom, followed by the men’s event on 25 October. The announcement and viewing information apply to the United States market.
