Brian Head Resort Introduces Ski and Snowboard Lessons Starting at $59
Brian Head Resort in southern Utah has unveiled a redesigned ski and snowboard lesson programme for the 2026–27 season, with adult group lessons starting at $59 during March and April.
The resort has shortened its standard group lessons from two and a half hours to two hours, increasing daily lesson start times from two to three. The 50% increase is intended to make more places available to visitors seeking instruction.
“We’ve had guests who wanted to take a lesson, but we simply didn’t have room for everyone,” said Pierre Beney, manager of the Winter Sports School. “We want more people to have the chance to learn, whether they’re trying skiing or snowboarding for the first time or looking to improve a particular skill.”
New lesson options for 2026–27
Adult group lessons are available in two- and four-hour formats for guests aged 13 and over. Two-hour sessions start at $59 during March and April. Youth group lessons for children aged seven to 12 run for two, four or six hours, with two-hour sessions starting at $109.
Private lessons now include one- and four-hour sessions alongside existing two- and six-hour options. One-hour private instruction starts at $139 for children aged three to six, or $149 for guests aged seven and older. Private sessions for the older age group can accommodate up to six guests, with additional charges for extra participants.
New two-hour night lessons are available on selected evenings, while the Tiny Tracks programme offers small-group tuition for children aged five to eight who already make controlled turns and can safely use chairlifts. The resort also offers free two-hour introductory lessons to first-time skiers and snowboarders aged 13 and over on selected dates.
Lesson prices and availability vary by date. Lift tickets and equipment hire are separate, and advance booking is recommended.
Brian Head Resort plans to open on 6 November 2026, weather permitting. Advance-purchase lift tickets start at $9 on selected dates, and children aged 12 and under can ski free through the Power Kids Pass.
