The Saas Valley road was opened for normal traffic on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11 am. This means that the Saas-Fee/Saastal destination is once again fully accessible. Representatives of Saastal Tourismus AG expressed their thanks to the workers on behalf of all helpers.
The tireless efforts of experts, helpers and workers made the reopening of the Saastal road possible. Konstantin Bumann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saastal Tourismus AG and Mattia Storni, Head of Marketing and Communications, visited the landslide site today and thanked everyone who was actively involved in clearing the road.
“The thanks we express to the workers today are symbolic of everyone who worked tirelessly over the past six days for the reopening. And to those who looked after the well-being of guests and the local population,” said Konstantin Bumann. “Last but not least, we would like to thank our guests for their understanding and for being part of our community during the extended time in the Saas Valley.”
The Saas-Fee/Saas Valley destination will be accessible again without restrictions. The cable cars, the summer ski area, the numerous hiking trails and the diverse accommodation and catering establishments are ready to welcome guests during the most beautiful time of the year in the mountains.
