The Saas-Fee/Saas Valley holiday region looks back on a successful winter with a 4.6% increase in overnight stays and is starting a promising summer season with numerous innovations. With innovative projects and new offerings, the region is strengthening its position as an exciting high-alpine destination.

The Saas Valley looks back on a successful 2024/2025 winter season, recording a 4.6% increase in overnight stays compared to the previous year. The increase in total overnight stays was driven by a 4.2% increase in hotels and an 8.5% increase in holiday apartments .
Last winter season saw several important innovations: The opening of new hotels significantly expanded the region’s accommodation offerings. Another special highlight was the 40th anniversary of the cult song and video ” Last Christmas ,” which was celebrated in Saas-Fee and boosted the region’s profile in national and international media. The new interactive toboggan run on the Hannig provided an additional highlight to the winter sports experience, and with the Swiss Snow Happening 2025, the holiday region welcomed the entire Swiss snow sports family to the Saas Valley in March.
A Summer of Innovation:
Summer 2025 brings a number of exciting innovations that will further enhance the guest experience in the Saas-Fee/Saas Valley destination. On the Mittelallalin, visitors can expect the world’s highest virtual reality experience, the VirtuAllalin , at 3,500 meters above sea level . The immersive story combines fascinating facts with a gripping narrative.
From the Hannig, mountain carts are now available, allowing for exhilarating descents towards Saas-Fee. A new themed trail on the topic of mountain weather also leads from the Hannig towards Melchboden. Developed in collaboration with MeteoSwiss , it provides a vivid introduction to alpine weather phenomena.
There’s also a lot going on in the biking sector: A new pump track is opening in Saas-Grund, offering fun and technical training for all ages. At the same time, work will begin this summer on expanding the bike trail between Weissmieshütte and Kreuzboden, further expanding the existing trail network and making it even more attractive.
For connoisseurs, the new culinary trail in Saas-Almagell is another highlight: On this gourmet hike, guests can experience regional specialties in combination with beautiful nature.
