Arc 1950 is turning twenty

Arc 1950 sits at the heart of Paradiski, in the French Alps and is one of the largest and highest mountain resorts in Europe.

Opening on 16th December 2023, Arc 1950 is turning 20 this season.

Architecture in Arc 1950 takes on the traditional alpine style of the Savoie region, combined with ultra-modern convenience. Originally designed by Eldon Beck from across the Atlantic, the first stone was laid in 2002 and this village, strategically planned to be a cosy and practical village, offers incredible views of Mont Blanc.

Ski directly through the heart of snow sure Arc 1950, with a host of quality, ski-in, ski-out accommodation across eight 5* residences. The slope running through the village from north to south is named the slope of fame, paying homage to celebrities who have attended the annual“Les Arcs Film Festival.”

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, there are a selection of key events throughout the season:

Les Arcs Film Festival will kick off opening celebrations on 16th December, combining quality winter sports on first snow, exclusive preview screenings of new films and impromptu meetings with actors and celebrities in Arc 1950.

From 23 – 30 December, Arc 1950’s festive season is in full swing, with Father Christmas parades and firework shows along snowy streets.

New Year 2024 will be welcomed with a bang in Arc 1950, as DJ’s take to the streets, alongside live concerts and fireworks from 30 December – 6 January.

Two top live “M Radio” concerts will set the streets alive from 11-12 January, firstly with a live concert on 11 January and a “rise and shine” concert on 12 January from 6-10am which will be broadcast live across France hosted by French radio DJ’s Vincent Cerutti and Malika Menard.

Happy Hour hits the village of Arc 1950 every Thursday this season. Each week will see pop, rock ‘n’ roll and soul groups hit the streets for a series of free concerts. Live music can be experienced across the village squares, which will become dance floors for the night, while free aperitifs will be offered around by local bars to get the party in full swing.

Built in 2011, the Deep Nature Spa offers 100m2 of relaxation at the heart of the village. Open daily during the winter season. Each of the 8 residences also has an inside and/or outside free to use swimming pool, wellness area (hammam, sauna, jacuzzi) and a fitness room, for relaxation as a family.

In 2020 Les Arcs, in which Arc 1950 sits, were awarded the Flocon Vert, the first resort in the Savoie to receive this recognition. Looking forward, Arc 1950 has plans to upgrade it’s waste solutions, enabling composting as well as ongoing energy performance analysis of each residence in the village. Unlike many alpine resorts, Arc 1950 does not suffer from ‘empty beds’ ensuring an efficient and well run village and quality apartments, maintained to high standards by either P&V, Maeva, Cimalps or private owners.
