Mammut Announces Learn to Ski or Ride Scholarship in Partnership with Copper Mountain
Mammut, premiere mountain safety and outdoor brand, is thrilled to announce its Learn to Ski or Ride Scholarship in partnership with Copper Mountain. As a part of their ongoing commitment to support inclusivity in the outdoors, Mammut and Copper created an all-inclusive learn to ski or snowboard scholarship package to reduce barriers of entry into snowsports for a deserving recipient and a friend or family member.
The scholarship prize will assist the recipient and their plus one in learning to ski or snowboard, as well as encouraging them to participate confidently in snowsports, at Copper Mountain, a POWDR resort. The recipient and plus one will be awarded two full-day lessons, equipment rentals, dining vouchers and a weekend stay at Copper Mountain. In addition, the pair will receive Mammut outerwear kits and a custom Mammut shopping experience at the new Mammut Education Center in the resort’s base area.
“At Mammut we recognize that there are significant barriers to entry into the arena of snow sports,” said Mammut Marketing and CSR Account Manager, Nora Fierman. “We aspire to make the outdoors accessible to everyone and hope that this scholarship will assist in facilitating this for two individuals. Furthermore, we hope to grow this scholarship in the coming years, encouraging more brands and individuals to work toward making skiing and snowboarding a more inclusive and accessible sport.”
Applications for the Learn to Ski or Ride Scholarship are open to anyone living in the continental US who is new to skiing or snowboarding and looking for the opportunity to learn. The entry period is open from January 18, 2022 until February 15, 2022. The scholarship recipient will be announced on February 22nd and the experience will take place the weekend of March 26th 2022, transportation is not included.
“At Copper Mountain, we pride ourselves on our educational programs and are always looking for ways to make skiing and snowboarding more accessible,” said Copper Communications Manager, Taylor Prather. “It’s a priority for us as a ski industry leader to ensure that those who want to ski are able to pursue their passion. We are excited to help support our partner, Mammut, on their new scholarship program, and can’t wait to welcome the winners to Copper Mountain this season.”
