Kitzsteinhorn: Top conditions for the final weeks of the season

A great season finale awaits skiers and snowboarders at the freestyle headquarters on the Kitzsteinhorn, Zell am See-Kaprun, Salzburg, Austria: Easy Park, Central Park, and South Central Park will stay open until May 7, 2023.

Freestylers of all skill levels can look forward to nice snow conditions, spring sun, and creative set-ups in all parks. The Superpipe will also remain open until May 1. In addition, some highlights are waiting until May, especially for the snowboarders.

The local shape crew around head shaper Wolfgang Hilberger has done a great job again this season and built an excellent and varied freestyle offer at the Kitzsteinhorn. The Easy Park, which is aimed at beginners and advanced riders, currently offers 14 obstacles, including 2 smaller kickers, a butter box, and a hip jump. The Central Park for advanced and pros has 12 obstacles, including a 16-m kicker, an S-Rail, and a Spine Tube. South Central Park features 9 elements of varying difficulty from the Mini Spine Tube to the 11-m down Flat Down Tank. The 3 set-ups can be ridden in a row from South Central Park to Easy Park to Central Park, so you can string together up to 20 obstacles in one run. Please find full details on each park here.

Even at the end of the season, there are still some events taking place at the Kitzsteinhorn. For example, from April 18 to 22, 2023, the Austrian & German Masters will be held, where the Austrian and German snowboard community will compete for the national championship title in the disciplines Slopestyle, Superpipe, and Big Air. The exact program can be found here.

Another highlight is the elooa Good Times Camp by Nitro Snowboards from May 17 to 21, 2023, when a very special park set-up will be created exclusively for the camp participants. The stars of the international Nitro Snowboards Family will also join in. More information and registration here.

By the way: all season tickets valid for the Kitzsteinhorn will allow you to ride Salzburg’s only glacier ski area until May 1, 2023. And a special goodie for youngsters is the JuniorXPLORE Card: every Saturday, everyone under the age of 19 gets the day ski pass for just € 13.
