The most luxurious ski resorts to visit this season

Ahead of ski season (December-April), online travel booking site, Omio, has revealed the most luxurious ski resorts from across the world.

The research, which analysed over 6,000 ski resorts, looked at a number of factors, including the ski resort’s rating and the cost of an adult ticket. A score out of 100 was then calculated based on these factors to reveal the world’s most luxurious ski resorts.

America has dominated the top 20 rankings, with 16 resorts being situated here. Vail, Beaver Creek and Telluride have been ranked the top 3 most luxurious resorts worldwide, all of which are situated in Colorado. Prices for these resorts range from £178.47 – £224.11, all of which boast a range of eateries, shops and even spas to ensure a luxury experience after a busy day on the slopes. 

Utah, California, Maine and Vermont are the other states in the USA that feature the most luxurious ski resorts, making up 8 out of the top 20.

It’s no surprise America has dominated the top 20 list of most luxurious ski resorts across the world. With the country boasting optimum winter conditions for the ultimate ski experience, along with ample choice of facilities at these ski resorts, it’s hard to compete when you’re looking for a top luxury ski holiday.

Switzerland and Canada both feature 2 of the world’s most luxurious ski resorts, ranking 8th, 13th, 15th and 19th in the world.
