Fancy having a go at being a Ski Goddess? Georgina Clark straps on her skis and gives it a try in Chatel, in the Portes du Soleil, northern French Alps.
Well, I’m back at it again! I booked myself onto another Ski Goddess trip this season after a hugely successful trip last season.
This year, I opted for the ‘Ski and Yoga’ course, so I was really able to take a break from everyday life to focus on my self-care and wellbeing.
It turned out to be the most amazing, dreamy break I’ve had in a long while – if not ever!
A huge benefit of group trips like ‘Ski Goddess’ is the opportunity to meet new like-minded people which creates a big sense of community in a supportive environment, so you are able to improve on skiing ability and flourish in confidence.
Founder and Ski Goddess instructor Katie Dobson’s personalised instruction and support is first class. She’s blooming brilliant!
When you team that with the highly-experienced yoga teachers who relax and focus your body and mind after a day on the slopes, you really do have a week that is unlike no other. I had to pinch myself most days to make sure I wasn’t dreaming!
I have only practised yoga a handful of times (I’m quite the novice!). But that didn’t affect the enjoyment of the classes for me, or any of my other fellow (more expert) yoga Goddesses. The classes were very accessible and enjoyable at all levels, and regardless of your experience level you can get as much or as little out of the classes as you like.
The guided skiing ensured we explored a great deal of the beautiful surroundings, and the nurturing environment definitely helped me identify the hurdles I needed to overcome to get where I want to be in terms of my skiing ability.
Like last year, the traditional chalet we stayed in was comfortable and cosy so we were all able to relax after a day on the slopes. There was an outdoor space which homed a hot tub and the staff within the chalet couldn’t do enough for you to make you feel at home. The food was out of this world. I returned with many recipes that I’m looking forward to recreating for my own family. The benefits of a catered chalet always make for a more enjoyable and relaxing holiday experience in my view.
Overall, my Ski Goddess trip in France was incredible and is an excellent choice for anyone looking to improve their skiing skills and build their confidence in a supportive and empowering environment.
I’m already looking at dates for next year …. See you there ladies!
