Vialattea promises perfect ski conditions this Easter
Welcoming recent heavy snowfall, the leading Italian-French international ski region Vialattea promises perfect ski conditions this Easter.
With 70% of Vialattea’s 400km skiable area above 2,000m, and approximately 160cm of cover following the recent snowfall, visitors can expect snow-sure skiing this Easter and until the end of the season on April 7th. The 2023/24 season has also seen the introduction of upgraded snowmaking systems, with 117 new snow generators and 7,650 metres of renewed ski slopes further cementing the snow reliability in the area.
This Easter, the 41st edition of the Uovo d’Oro (Golden Egg), a traditional end of season race organised by Sporting Club Sestrieres, will be taking place in Sestriere. The races bring together Italian and international ski clubs for a day of competition and festivities, with over 5,000 people descending on the town over the weekend, bringing an end of season party atmosphere to the resort.
Skiers can explore over 250 slopes across the Vialattea region, with a wide range of runs catering to beginners and experienced skiers alike. For kids, the ski area offers a number of exciting attractions and activities, including baby fun parks in Sansicario and Sauze d’Oulx – alternatively, book in for private or group lessons from expert instructors.
Whether staying in the charming alpine villages of Claviere and Sansicario, enjoying the lively atmosphere of Sauze d’Oulx, or the ski in/ski out convenience of Sestriere, Vialattea offers a resort for everyone. New for this season, the recently announced ‘Vialattea Link’ enables visitors to use a single ticket for their train and connecting bus to the resort itself, to ensure seamless travel door to door.
Ski passes for the 2023/24 season, including daily, multi-day, and season passes, are available for purchase for the whole family on the Vialattea website.
