OIA and POW UK bring The People’s Emergency Briefing to London

The Outdoor Industries Association and Protect Our Winters UK, working with SIGB, will bring The People’s Emergency Briefing to London’s Royal Geographical Society on Wednesday 25 November 2026.

The free event will include a screening of a 50-minute documentary presented by Chris Packham, followed by a panel discussion about what the climate and nature crisis means for the outdoor industry.

Evidence and an industry conversation

The film brings together UK experts to examine impacts on health, the economy, food systems and everyday life, alongside actions that remain available to address the challenges.

Representatives from OIA and POW UK will join outdoor athletes and members of the wider climate community for the discussion after the screening.

SIGB is encouraging colleagues from across the snowsports and outdoor sectors to attend and consider how the industry can help protect the places and environments on which it depends.
