The Dalbello ski boot brand was founded in Italy by Alessandro and Giovanna Dal Bello in 1974. It was not until the 1980s that the Dalbello brand entered the competition sector with the help of internationally renowned skiers such as Steve Mckinney. In the 1990s, Dalbello continued to export internationally.

Being located next to the mountains, Dalbello is the only manufacturer that still produces every single ski boot in its own factory in Italy.
