Thredbo Resort celebrates over 30cm of snow and it’s still coming down
Thredbo’s après scene is buzzing, with free live entertainment every weekend at iconic venues
Thredbo Resort, NSW, Australia, woke up under a thick blanket of over 30cm of fresh snow last Wednesday night, transforming the village into a breathtaking winter wonderland. The significant snowfall set the perfect stage for an awesome weekend and July school holidays, with plenty of terrain already open and mountain operations working hard to unlock the final remaining areas.
Skiers and snowboarders were treated to classic powder day conditions, with deep early-season turns and fresh lines across the resort. It’s a rare treat to see such impressive snow coverage this early in June, and riders took full advantage – enjoying what many are calling the best turns of the season so far.
The storm brought heavy snow, blizzard-like conditions, and strong winds, delivering premium coverage across the slopes. With snow continuing to fall and more in the forecast, excitement is building fast. The stoke is real, and Thredbo is shaping up to be the place to be this weekend.
