Peak Retreats introduces new resorts and accommodation as it celebrates 20 years

Peak Retreats has added popular high-altitude resorts to its programme for winter 2022/23, a season which also marks its 20th year as an award-winning French Alps specialist.

The additions include Tignes le Lac, Val Thorens, Les Arcs and La Plagne and mean that Peak Retreats features the most comprehensive range of resorts across the French Alps with over 75 destinations including world-class resorts, hidden gems and snow-sure ski villages. The operator has also expanded its accommodation in existing resorts, including Samoëns and La Rosière.

This season, Peak Retreats has added resorts and accommodation featured by its sister company, Ski Collection, to its programme. Ski Collection has been offering high-altitude ski holidays since 2005. Bringing these all under one roof means Peak Retreats offers its clients the widest choice of French Alps resorts.

Resorts like Val Thorens and La Plagne allow clients to enjoy beautiful skiing and conditions at the very beginning and end of the season, whilst also encompassing the unique après-ski atmosphere for which high-altitude is known. “These are resorts and properties that our team of alpine specialists, some of whom have been us almost since the beginning, already know and love and are excited to share with clients. It feels like a natural progression.” – Xavier Schouller, Peak Retreats founder.

The additions mean an expanded range of premium properties, from stunning standalone self-catered chalets on the slopes (like La Cascade in Arc 2000 and Arpoza in Arc 1800, which both have their own plunge pool and sauna), to luxury self-catered apartments like those at Chalet Cocoon in Val Thorens, whose apartments feature a private hot tub on their own terrace overlooking the resort.

New in La Rosière: Peak Retreats has a new property in La Rosière this season, Chalets Kandie. These four spacious self-catered chalets each sleep 10-12 people. They are south-facing and set over three floors, just 5 minutes from the slopes and ski school meeting point. Facilities include a hot tub and sauna.

New in Samoëns: Brand new for 2022, La Residence Club, offers modern, mountain style apartments just 10 minutes’ walk from the Grand Massif Express cable car. Clients have access to a heated swimming pool with south-facing terrace, sauna, steam room and ski room with boot driers – Samoëns was one of the resorts featured in Peak Retreats’ first brochure, so it feels appropriate to have a new property here in Peak Retreats’ 20th anniversary year.

New in Les Gets: Peak Retreats is offering the newly built, 4* luxury accommodation Kinabalu. With one of the best positions in Les Gets, the property is just 100m from the village centre, main gondola, and ESF meeting point. Clients will enjoy facilities such as a swimming pool, Sapana spa, hammam, hot tub and fitness room.

New in Le Grand Bornand: Opening December 2022, Peak Retreats now offers the 4* luxury residence Les Chalets de Joy. This modern residence is located at the foot of La Joyère gondola, close to the main village. Facilities include a wellness centre with indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam and fitness room.

New in Serre Chevalier: Brand new in summer 2022, Cristal Lodge, is in the village of Chantemerle in Serre Chevalier, just 300m from the nearest slopes. With both self-catered accommodation and hotel rooms available, the residence is split between two chalets, either side of the original hotel building – previously the family hotel of ski champion Luc Alphand. The property benefits from a sauna, steam room and hot tub.
