The North Face launches new Athlete-Tested Collection built for epic conditions
The North Face worked closely with snowboarders Xavier and Victor De Le Rue, along with skier Mila De Le Rue
This Winter 2024, The North Face is releasing a new athlete-tested collection built for epic conditions. The collection offers industry-leading technical benefits with products designed to maximize exploration for future generations–all without sacrificing style.
The collection features a distinctive look and modular layering system that allows athletes to build a custom kit to meet their specific performance needs.
KEY FEATURES:
- Athlete-Tested Design: The North Face worked closely with snowboarders Xavier and Victor De Le Rue, along with skier Mila De Le Rue, throughout the product design process. From conceptualisation to prototype testing in extreme conditions across Europe and Antarctica, these athletes played a pivotal role in ensuring the collection delivers top-level performance.
- Standout Technical Innovation: Key features of the collection include ISPO Award winning Triple Baffle™ insulation to prevent cold spots and ensure maximum warmth, DryVent™ technology with a Mono material membrane (100% polyester) for waterproof, seam-sealed protection, and DotKnit technology to regulate body temperature by actively wicking moisture away from the skin.
- Designed with Circularity Principles: The collection is made entirely from polyester, enabling the garments to be recycled into new raw materials at the end of their life cycle by The North Face. This marks a significant step in overcoming the recycling challenges associated with technical products and supports The North Face’s commitment to advancing circular design principles.
- Customisable Layering System: The collection’s layering system allows athletes to customise their gear based on individual performance needs. Features like modular pillow panels for extra warmth and zippered gussets for adjustable venting ensure the collection is both functional and adaptable for a range of environments, fit and style preferences.
The North Face’s goal of pushing performance boundaries while reducing environmental impact is embodied in this collection, which represents a significant step in the brand’s ongoing journey toward incorporating more circular design principles.
