Mitsubishi Electric partners with FIS across Nordic skiing
Mitsubishi Electric and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation have agreed a Nordic skiing partnership for the 2026/27 season.
Mitsubishi Electric will become title partner of the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup, which will be renamed the Mitsubishi Electric FIS Nordic Combined World Cup. The company will also become an Official Premium Partner of the FIS Tour de Ski performance by Le Gruyère AOP 2026/27.
Landmark season for women’s Nordic Combined
The agreement begins in a season when women will compete on the Large Hill at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships for the first time. The programme will also include the first women-only team event in Nordic Combined at a Nordic World Ski Championship.
“We are proud to partner with FIS and support Nordic skiing across a season that brings together world-class competition, progress and ambition. This partnership gives us a meaningful opportunity to connect more closely with the communities in Northern Europe and Scandinavia in which we live and work, while supporting athletes across the Nordic disciplines.”
Kazuhiko Tamura, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V.
Tamura added that the company was particularly pleased the season would feature the first women-only Nordic Combined team event at a Nordic World Ski Championship.
“FIS has made it clear that it is doubling down on Nordic Combined, one of the most traditional and demanding of all snow sports disciplines. To keep following through on this commitment, there is nothing more valuable than counting on a partner like Mitsubishi Electric.”
Urs Lehmann, FIS Secretary General
FIS said the partnership reflects shared priorities around precision, performance and reliability. More information is available from the official FIS announcement.
