Gurgl World Cup Slalom This Weekend
The Stifel U.S. Ski Team returns to Central Europe for men’s and women’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup racing this weekend in Gurgl, Austria. Mikaela Shiffrin and Paula Moltzan are currently ranked 1-2 in the overall World Cup standings heading into Sunday’s race, which will stream live on Peacock. Shiffrin had her 99th win in Gurgl in 2024.

One Final Season: Jessie Diggins Announces Retirement Following the End of 2025-26 SeasonJessie Diggins, Stifel U.S. Cross Country Team member and the most decorated cross country skier in U.S. history, formally announced her retirement from cross country ski racing following the end of the 2025-26 season. It will be the Afton, Minnesota-born skier’s final season, beginning with the first race in Ruka, Finland, Nov. 28, through Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina and concluding at the Stifel Lake Placid Finals in Lake Placid, New York, March 19-22, 2026. READ MORE at U.S. Ski & Snowboard


STIFEL U.S. FREESKI TEAM

Freeski Kicks Off Season With StubaiThe Stifel U.S. Freeski Team starts its 2025-26 season with the first slopestyle event in Stubai, Austria. It is one of five Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games qualifying events this season and the first of three slopestyle qualifiers. Alex Hall enters the season with his Olympic spot already clinched, following an outstanding 2024-25 season.

With the inclement weather in Austria, the women’s slopestyle qualification round was moved up to Thursday. U.S. athletes Grace Henderson and Marin Hamill both clinched a spot in the finals, which will kick off on Saturday, Nov. 22. Men’s qualifications will be on Friday; follow on FIS.

STIFEL U.S. SKI JUMPING TEAM

World Cup Season Kick Off in Lillehammer
The Stifel U.S. Ski Jumping Team is opening its season on familiar ground – their home away from home – in Lillehammer, Norway, on the HS140. The weekend begins Friday, Nov. 21 with the mixed team event, followed by individual competitions on Saturday and Sunday.
