Jake Burton Carpenter wanted to become a professional skier, including joining his college team. Originally from Vermont, one of the most mountainous and snowy states in the United States, this love was only natural, and inspired by the glorious landscapes around him. Burton has been known for his snowboards since the 1970’s, entering the sport twelve years after the first models were created. The binding systems on the boots and the unique designs of some of his models, such as the Throwback, have made him famous.
“Everything we do at Burton started in the mountains. From getting the most out of every journey to chasing snow around the globe, we’ve charged ahead to innovate and change the way people enjoy the outdoors since day one.“
