As CEO at Scottish Squash Maggie was instrumental in core governance changes that provided a springboard for improvements across the sport and during her tenure has seen the sport win their first international medal in 17 years.

Maggie was an international 400m hurdler and added: “As a former athlete, I am extremely keen to do all that I can to support athletes, coaches, volunteers and competition organisers, along the performance and development pathway, to ensure a nurturing environment that enables everyone to thrive and be the best they wish to be.”

An Interim CEO appointment has been made while the Board of Snowsport England begin to conduct a further recruitment process for a long-term CEO and to allow for any prospective candidates to work through a notice period.

Dominic McGonigal, chair of the board, said: “The quality of candidates for the interim role was high and we are delighted by this appointment. Maggie has the exact qualities we need to provide leadership during this period of change for the organisation. We have lots of work to do, but some very exciting plans for the future and we are confident that Maggie is the right person to lead us on this journey.”
