Snowsport England launches new University Ambassador Programme

Brand new opportunity for university students looking to get involved behind the scenes of the snowsports world

Snowsport England is proud to announce the launch of our brand-new University Ambassador Programme – a step towards strengthening the future of snowsports across the country by empowering student leaders at the heart of university snow sport communities.

THE PURPOSE:

The goal of this programme is to grow awareness of Snowsport England (SE) in universities, increase student membership, and create more opportunities for young people to engage with the sport – from grassroots to elite levels.

University Ambassadors will be the driving force behind this mission, helping connect more students with training, competitions, coaching pathways, and community support. Most importantly, they’ll be helping shape the future of snowsports in England.

Where Will Ambassadors Be?

To ensure national reach, we’ll be recruiting ambassadors in five regions:

  • North
  • South
  • East
  • West
  • Midlands

Each region will have:

  • 1x Freestyle Ambassador
  • 1x Alpine Ambassador

What Is a University Ambassador?

A Snowsport England University Ambassador is:

A Connector – Linking SE with university snow sport clubs, athletes, and students. They’re the go-to for talent pathways and development info.

A Promoter – Championing SE membership, sharing opportunities, and raising awareness on campus.

A Leader – Planning engagement, promoting SE offers, and taking initiative to support their club and region.

A Role Model – Inspiring participation and growth in snowsports at every level.

A Representative – Attending events like BUCS, KINGS, Freshers Fairs, and open days to represent SE.
