Caroline’s experiences as mountain rescue/ ski patroller, avalanche dog handler and trained avalanche explosives operative, inform her book and her outreach work in schools and organisations. Caroline is passionate about mountain safety.

Caroline said: “Being aware and informed of the risks, and steps to take to minimise the opportunities to be in the way of danger, can ensure that snow resort users and snow patrol staff can safely enjoy their mountain experiences. Work to inform younger generations gives them a great foundation for a lifetime of snow based experiences. Fjord’s legacy is helping people across the globe to learn about mountain safety through the book Fjord’s Mountain Mission.”

With Fjord’s Mountain Mission now published in French, German and Swedish, and soon in Norwegian and Japanese, the book is informing and making mountain use safer for its readers and their families. More information at www.fjordsar.com.
