This October, specialist retailer Hike and Ride, a London-based mobile ski boot store, is being showcased in Strive for Perfection: Celebrating 20 years of Goodwood – an official publication for the International Club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts.

The publication will be officially launched at the Grosvenor House hotel in central London on Friday, 6 October 2023.

Hike and Ride is the brainchild of Jen Ashton, a female solopreneur who has carved a niche in the sports retail market. Ashton, who has won several awards such as Ski Boot Retailer of the Year, said: “I am thrilled, and it is such an honor to be included in the upcoming book. I have always been passionate about providing the best service possible, and I am grateful to be featured for my work.”

Hike and Ride is unique in offering a mobile ski boot store and full boot workshop in a custom-designed van that comes directly to customers’ locations, saving them time and hassle. The company uses

state-of-the-art equipment to ensure optimal fit, comfort and performance for every skier.

The publication, Strive for Perfection: Celebrating 20 years of Goodwood is a beautifully presented, fully illustrated hardback book, authored by motoring experts and award-winning writers. Produced in partnership by the International Club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts (or RREC) and publisher St James’s House, the publication celebrates 20 years of Rolls-Royce’s famous Goodwood production plant. The book’s articles range from the history of Goodwood, to the latest innovations in sustainable luxury, to the marque’s groundbreaking motor cars of the past, present and future. It features a luxury lifestyle guide for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, that includes a select portfolio of exceptional products and services, which is what Hike and Ride is about.

Hike and Ride is a positive story for small business and provides hope for specialist retailers, especially in times when so many stores are closing due to economic challenges. Ashton said: “I believe there is still a demand for quality products and services that cater to specific needs and preferences. I think people appreciate the convenience, personalization, and expertise that Hike and Ride offers, and I hope to inspire other entrepreneurs.”
