New activities for Alpine French School as it prepares for winter ‘workcations’
Residential packages with Alpine French School opening up for this winter Options for adults and children during school holidays Spend the winter season in the French Alps and improve French language skills New activities available through the school this winter including snowshoeing and ski touring Morzine based Alpine French School is preparing for a full re-opening following the Covid-19 pandemic and has expanded its portfolio of accommodation to cater for long term stays as students look to work remotely or spend longer abroad. There’s a wide range of new accommodation including: private and shared apartments, 3 and 4 star hotels and budget hotel options too. The school is offering new activities for adults and juniors in partnership with the French national ski and activity school, the ESF. The activities are run by qualified French instructors, who speak English when it’s necessary, but steer the lessons mostly in French. During the winter, adults can choose from skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and other wintersports activities including ski touring. During the school holiday times, children are offered a variety of courses including those specifically targeted at GCSE and A-Level exams. Co-owner of Alpine French School, Helen Watts, said: “We have been operating through the ‘Covid’ period mostly with clients who have been travelling within the EU and clients in the local area. Our Covid protocol has protected our staff and students and has allowed us to continue offering French courses, online courses, plus French language and adventure camps with very positive reviews from clients. Now we are looking forward to once again welcoming students and guests from further afield and are ready to help anyone that wishes to stay for an extended period”’ Alpine French School is based in the traditional Alpine town of Morzine, a bustling chalet-style mountain resort with a large selection of restaurants, bars, shops and services, just over one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport.
