Après season is here - and it tastes amazing

With so much happening off the slopes, now’s the time to lock in your ski and après ski plans

The mountain is buzzing with more than just fresh snow this season, with Mt Buller hosting a string of exclusive pop-ups living up to its reputation as The Home of Aussie Après. From bold Spanish bites with Movida at The Villager to a vibrant Chin Chin takeover at The Whitt, Melbourne’s top culinary talent is landing on the mountain – and bringing the party with it.

The Villager is where alpine dining meets city sophistication this winter, hosting a trio of unmissable pop-ups curated by Tommy Collins. It kicks off this weekend with Marmont on the Mountain, a California-inspired soirée blending fresh flavours, flowing margaritas and laid-back West Coast vibes brought in by Grant Smilie.

Next up, Movida brings bold Spanish dining to the slopes, with acclaimed Chef Frank Camorra serving a menu made for sharing. Rounding out the season Entrecôte takes over with French elegance – think champagne, legendary steak frites and a touch of Parisian charm courtesy of Jason Jones.

Over at The WhittChin Chin is bringing the heat from 1-3 August with a three-night takeover led by Executive Chef Benjamin Cooper. Settle in for a bold feed me menu filled with fan favourites, best paired with the signature Snow Bunny Sour.

The good times don’t stop with dinner. DJ Bowie Jane is set to light up the Arlberg with a sunset après set of house beats and high energy, while Tom Gleeson, Peter Helliar and Dave Thornton deliver the laughs with a one-night-only comedy show. Add community favourites like the Snow Sisters Annual Dinner this week, and you’ve got plenty of ways to connect, celebrate and keep the good vibes going long after the lifts stop spinning.

With so much happening off the slopes, now’s the time to lock in your ski and après ski plans. Explore all your dining options and find your perfect spot on the mountain.
