Starting next winter season, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and Zell am See-Kaprun will become part of the Epic Pass – the international season ski pass from the US company Vail Resorts. Through this collaboration, the premium ski resorts in Salzburg and Tyrol aim to appeal particularly to guests from overseas.
With the recently signed cooperation agreements, the ALPIN CARD region has become the second Austrian ski destination to join the elite circle of Epic Pass members. The international season ski pass provides access to over 80 ski resorts worldwide – from North America to Japan to Australia. From winter 2025/26, Epic Pass holders will have five days of skiing included in the ALPIN CARD network. Conversely, holders of ALPIN CARD season and annual passes receive a 50% discount on the current ski pass prices at 37 North American ski resorts. “With the Epic Pass, we are opening the door to a global ski community – this fills us with pride and anticipation. Together with our ALPIN CARD partners, we have decided on this pioneering step as a strong signal of our region’s international appeal – this is a big moment for us,” says Isabella Dschulnigg-Geissler (CEO of Saalbacher Bergbahnen GmbH) about the cooperation.
“BREATHTAKING ALPINE LANDSCAPE” DECISIVE
The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area is one of Austria’s largest connected ski areas, offering 270 kilometers of slopes of all difficulty levels. 60 cozy mountain huts boast Alpine lifestyle and Austrian cuisine. On the Kitzsteinhorn, Epic Pass holders can enjoy glacier skiing at over 3,000 meters above sea level, ensuring an extra-long ski season. “Visiting Saalbach for the 2025 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships was an unforgettable experience, from the exhilarating energy to the breathtaking mountain scenery. With their world-class terrain and vibrant mountain culture, Saalbach and Zell am See-Kaprun offer unparalleled experiences that perfectly complement the exceptional skiing and freeride offerings of the Epic Pass,” says Mike Goar (COO Vail Resorts – Switzerland).
