The new DTC premium ski wear rental platform provides affordable and aspirational ski & snowboard gear for all…

1st November 2021, the 2021/22 ski season is fast approaching, with more than 2 million Brits heading to the slopes for the first time in two years.

Innovative white-label rental platform Zoa, has today announced the launch of luxury ski wear brand Blanqo – the latest brand to be powered by the rental-as-a-service solution.

Blanqo provides affordable access to luxury ski wear for men & women, through rental. The site is easy to use, offering  6, 10, 13, 17 day rental periods, and for just £59 you can hire a striking red one-piece from Poivre Blanc – the French premium sportswear brand – which would cost £700 to buy new.

And there is no need to worry about mishaps on the slopes – damage cover for minor wear and tear is included in the price of the rental, so you can enjoy the apres without concern.

Items are available in sizes from S – XL and Blanqo is doubling its stock base next month, with plans to significantly expand its brand selection next season.

On average Brits spend £1,000 on a ski holiday. This cost combined with the high-performance ski gear needed for the slopes, which can typically range between £500-£2000, is a challenge for many to afford.

Renting ski wear is a no-brainer for skiers keen on looking and feeling good, at an affordable price, whilst doing their bit for the environment.

Keen skier Ernest Amoako, founder of Blanqo, launched the rental platform so that others have the freedom to express themselves on the slopes through skiwear. “I’m really excited about this partnership with Zoa! Their rental experience has been invaluable” says Amoako.

Sustainability is baked into the fundamentals of Zoa’s rental partnerships. Instead of consumers purchasing cheaper, throwaway ski wear they may not use again next year, customers can spend the same (or less) renting higher quality gear, which will be shared throughout the season.

Zoa’s specialist warehouse partner uses best-in-practice sustainable cleaning methods, such as using Ozone chamber technology, ensuring every rental is dispatched in good-as-new-condition, while minimising environmental impact.

Zoa’s industry-disrupting technology powers entrepreneurs to quickly and easily launch rental services (described as the Shopify of circular commerce), with Blanqo their 4th client launch in as many months.

Other brands powered by Zoa include: Timeless London – the size inclusive, vintage womenswear brand with sizes ranging from 8-22, Rathbones Tailor – the men’s occasionwear rental brand which has seen an astounding 3,000% growth in revenue in recent months and Taite Ro, a female occasion-wear brand, due to launch next week.
