Powder tours

For experienced skiers who want to take their trip to the next level, why not try an exhilarating off-piste powder tour. Whilst navigating your way through the frosty fir forests, you will hear nothing but the silky sound of your skis gliding through the fresh pow. Travel in style to reach untracked slopes in a luxury snowcat and be treated to a secluded mountainside gourmet lunch. An average day on one of these unique tours will include 10,000 vertical feet of untouched wilderness skiing and boarding in an expanse of 1,500 acres of bowls, ski meadows and glades.  

Snowbiking lessons

Whether it’s your first or fiftieth time on the slopes, snowbiking is suitable for everyone. Book a private snowbiking lesson on Snowmass Mountain and learn how to descend the slopes in style. Snowshoe tours

Venture deep into the spruce and fir forests with a knowledgeable naturalist for a serene and scenic snowshoe tour. Enjoy breathtaking views from Richmond Ridge at Aspen Mountain or tread along a winding creek at Snowmass whilst learning about the area’s wildlife, ecology and history on this two-hour guided tour. Feel at one with nature and enjoy the silence of a snow covered forest. 

First tracks 

Head out on the slopes before they’re open to the public with ‘First Tracks’ – offered exclusively to guests of The Little Nell and The Limelight Hotels for free. You will be collected from the hotel at 8am and be escorted by a private guide to Aspen Mountain where you can enjoy a morning of fuss-free slopes as you carve fresh tracks across the mountain with no one else in sight. 

For the foodies

Uphill breakfast club 

If you are an early riser and love a challenge, why not beat the crowds and try uphill skiing with the Friday Morning Uphill Breakfast Club. Once you have tackled Buttermilk Mountain, enjoy breakfast at the Cliffhouse restaurant – located at the top of the mountain – renowned for its mouth watering thick-cut french toast. Start the day as you mean to go on with a clear head and wholesome food.

Snowcat dinners

Enjoy a magical moonlight private dining experience high in the Rocky Mountains at Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, only accessible at night time by snowcat. You will be whisked up Aspen Highlands with a warm beverage and blanket before arriving at Cloud Nine, known for its unique and authentic Alpine atmosphere and elegant cuisine. With panoramic views of the postcard-perfect Maroon Bells and a cosy wood burning fireplace, this is the perfect evening experience, and a great way to make the most of the incredible scenery and food.

Walking tours with Aspen Historical Society 

Choose from a selection of walking tours for a fun and informative off the slope experience with Aspen Historical Society. Learn more about the history of Aspen, whether it’s on a guided walking tour of historic Downtown buildings or a free tour of the Wheeler Opera House offering an insider’s look at the iconic building. Typically lasting one hour, these tours are perfect for any age group and offer a fun, interactive way to learn more about Aspen and its rich history. 

Live music at Limelight Hotel Snowmass

Limelight Hotel Snowmass is at the heart of Snowmass Village and is the go to après spot for those wanting to carry on the fun off the slopes.  On Thursdays, Limelight Snowmass hosts live music with local performers and artists showcasing their talent and getting the crowd going after a long day on the slopes.
