Snow Season Essentials: Belts Built for the Mountain

Arcade is highlighting two performance belts for the snow season, bringing together mountain-focused functionality, stretch comfort and thoughtful design.

Whether the day involves fresh powder, a backcountry outing or a full session on the mountain, the brand’s Protect Our Winters and RECCO® belts offer two different approaches to a small but useful piece of outdoor kit.

Protect Our Winters belt

The Protect Our Winters (POW) belt was exclusively designed by artist Joseph Toney and features a Protect Our Winters logo patch.

According to Arcade’s announcement, 10% of sales are donated to Protect Our Winters, supporting the organisation’s work to address climate change and protect the future of outdoor recreation. The design gives customers a way to support the places they enjoy exploring through an everyday accessory.

RECCO belt

Arcade’s RECCO belt incorporates two embedded RECCO reflectors, making the wearer searchable to professional rescuers equipped with RECCO detectors.

The passive technology requires no batteries or power. Performance stretch and a micro-adjustable buckle are designed to provide a secure, comfortable fit during long days on the mountain.

RECCO explains that its reflectors are an additional search tool and do not replace an avalanche transceiver. Backcountry skiers should carry a transceiver, shovel and probe; the belt complements that equipment.

Recycled webbing and freedom to move

Both belts feature durable, lightweight construction and webbing made with 85% post-consumer recycled REPREVE® polyester, according to the supplied announcement.

Arcade positions the combination of flexibility and comfort for use from the first chair to the final run, with the POW design offering support for climate action and the RECCO model incorporating passive rescue reflectors.
