SunGod eyes a bright future with new crowdfunding campaign

SunGod, the leading British performance eyewear brand, is launching a crowdfunding campaign through Crowdcube. SunGod’s campaign – The 2022 Vision Raise – goes live on Tuesday 15th November, to accelerate SunGod’s growth further and fuel the next stage of international expansion, with a target of £1 million.

Investors will have the opportunity to invest from as little as £25 or upwards of £1m, to be part of SunGod’s ambitious journey to disrupt the $158bn eyewear industry. The raise is already heavily oversubscribed, with a staggering £25m of registered interest so far, so potential investors are encouraged to move fast to avoid missing out.

A unique British success story, SunGod was founded in 2013 by entrepreneurs Ali and Zoe Watkiss, when they saw an opportunity to challenge and change their industry by doing things better. SunGod creates innovative performance eyewear, built on three pillars: better products, a better customer experience and better for the planet.

In 2020, SunGod ran its first crowdraise campaign, hitting its target in just 11 minutes and going on to close the raise with 1,004 investors and £1.5m in just 24 hours. Despite the hardships of the pandemic, the performance eyewear brand has gone from strength to strength, increasing its share price and valuation by 166% in the last two years.

In that time, SunGod has tripled its annual revenue to £8 million, achieved B Corp and certified Carbon Neutral status, and increased its customer base to 210,000. They have also secured partnerships with world-renowned sports teams including McLaren F1 and INEOS Britannia, and signed top-class athletes like ultrarunners Tom Evans and Courtney Dauwalter, and triathlete Olympian Hayden Wilde.
