Rab and Lowe Alpine to welcome freeride skier Stefan Häusl to their athlete roster

Former FWT stop winner from Austria to support development of Rab Khroma ski mountaineering range

British outdoor brands Rab and Lowe Alpine (owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd.) are delighted to welcome freeride skier Stefan Häusl (Austria, 45) to their athlete roster. Stefan has been on skis since the age of three. After racing as a child, he became a ski instructor and ski guide, before pursuing his passion for big mountain skiing and gaining himself a place on the Freeride World Tour. He was able to win a Freeride World Tour stop in Fieberbrunn and also reached many podiums and top-five rankings.

Amongst others, Stefan will work closely with Rab and Lowe Alpine to further develop their ski mountaineering offerings. Stefan’s expert backcountry ski skills and big mountain experience will be invaluable to the evolution of the Rab Khroma collection. Khroma has evolved from Rab’s expertise in creating high performance clothing and equipment for the toughest mountain conditions. Expertly balancing protection and performance, it’s engineered for those who love the up as much as the down.

Stefan says: “Rab’s and Lowe Alpine’s gear works brilliantly for me in the backcountry. Furthermore, their brand values of honesty, authenticity, and respect for the environment really resonate with me. I can’t think of anything better and am looking forward to collaborating with them and getting stuck in to future projects together.”

“We couldn’t be more excited about Stefan joining our athlete team,” says Mario Alkov, Equip Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “With his background in freeride skiing, his reputation in the backcountry community, his love for product development and his awesome personality, Stefan brings a great range of expertise to Equip and particularly to some of the key markets for our Khroma ski mountaineering range. We are very much looking forward to this partnership.”
